TESTIMONIALS

"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

- Reasons for Project Turnover.
- Overview. Preparing for turnover is a vital activity that allows you to stabilize any disruptions caused by the process. Although turnover cannot be avoided completely, some driving forces create an environment of changes that lead to higher rates. In this connection, the listed below driving forces should be investigated to minimize the negative impact of turnover.
- Project health. Any changes made to your project should to be reviewed throughout the entire project lifecycle to keep the project healthy.
- Customer expectations. During the project course your customer may change his/her expectations concerning the project and these changes increase the rate.
- Technology. Your project uses some kind of technology – in fact this means that the project depends on the technology, so in case the technological process fails or changes, you will have to adjust the project to the changes.
- Stakeholder relationships. Any change in relationships with stakeholders will influence your project and its environment.
- Employee rotations. Changes in employee assignments and rotation of team members will make your project more vulnerable.
- Project Mobilization Plan.
- Overview. The listed reasons for turnover should be carefully examined to develop a solution or a set of solutions that can help mitigate or eliminate the negative impact of the process. Project mobilization plan is a formal document that states what reasons are to be investigated and how to solve any issues occurred. Realization of this plan is a process that includes four coherent stages: Start, Implementation, Tracking and Reporting.
- Start. This stage is about identification of the reasons. You need to identify any reasons that increase turnover and then create a description for each of the reasons. Once the descriptions are done, you need to compose a letter, write an overview of the existing situation with your project, and attach the descriptions to the letter that should be sent to key stakeholders. The letter is a formal definition that proves the start of your effort to mobilize project resources for mitigating project turnover.
- Implementation. This stage can be started only with appropriate permits of key stakeholders who have received and reviewed your letter. Implementation of your plan also requires development of a detailed checklist that specifies your steps for mobilizing project resources. Once stakeholders’ permits are gained, you can start implementing your plan following your project mobilization checklist.
- Tracking. This stage involves the due diligence process aimed at proving appropriateness and correctness of your implementation actions. Stakeholders will need to develop a project due diligence checklist and use audit and control tools to track your activities. By tracking your actions, stakeholders can measure efficiency of your mobilization plan and performance of the project.
- Reporting. The final stage is about creation of project due diligence reports that prove success or failure of your effort to mobilize project resources and decrease rate. Project reports are developed by you and submitted to stakeholders who review the overall performance of your activities.
