  TESTIMONIALS
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

Analysis of Decision Making Grounds:

  • Identify a starting point of decision-making process;
  • Classify a need for decision: an emergent problem or a need in adjustment;
  • Describe and evaluate the situation to better seize its sense;
  • Imagine what can happen if the situation is not responded with a decision;
  • Define its priority (importance) and terms of urgency (timeframe);
  • Study history of the situation, and consider all underlying factors and assumptions;
  • Analyse the development trends and the driving powers behind the scenes;
  • Determine potential costs and possible effects of not acting on the situation;
  • Consider how interests of the project stakeholders can be affected;
  • Determine the objectives and anticipate character of decision to be made;
  • Anticipate positions of the project stakeholders;

Planning the Decision Making Process:

  • Specify the subject of consideration (what you need to discuss and resolve);
  • Define what lies beyond the topic of consideration (what shouldn’t be involved);
  • Set constraints: identify matters that cannot be negotiated and aren’t tolerated for tradeoffs;
  • Determine the objectives of decision-making (what is the point of future decision);
  • Define time available to produce a solution;
  • Select the most suitable methods to generate solutions;
  • Compose the procedure and allocate assignments on the process;
  • Collect information that is necessary, or can appear helpful, for decision-making;
  • Identify attendants and define their contributions into decision-making process (roles);
  • Formulate the process scope and arrange its practical organization (including room for meeting);
  • Schedule the meeting and make sure it doesn’t compete with other important commitments;
  • Request all planned participants to attend the session;

Process of Decision Making:

  • Generate a number of ideas and solutions (for example using a brainstorming);
  • Make a list of ideas to categorize all the solutions and options you have generated;
  • Focus on each of the proposed ideas and analyze their pros and cons;
  • Discuss every proposed solution with people who are competent in these questions;
  • Involve external judgement, where possible, to obtain a fresh vision from different angles;
  • Prioritize ideas by criteria of feasibility, urgency and efficiency;
  • Identify the most rational decision among all listed ones;
  • Examine and approve this solution with a help of the following questions:
