TESTIMONIALS
|
"...This is an excellent program. I'm so glad that I stumbled on to this when researching for task management programs. Very low learning curv, quite flexible, and the price is right. Tried at least 20 other programs, either too complicated, too expensive, or poor documentation..."

- Office Design Basics.
- Room Dimensions. Define optimal dimensions of your office rooms. You can use a special program that lets you plan projects for calculating optimal dimensions and determining location of rooms in the office. Use Internet to find a software solution.
- Windows. Define optimal locations of windows. Consider how it’s better to open windows (up, down, in or out).
- Outlets. Make sure electrical, phone and ISDN line outlets are available and located closely to electrical equipment and hardware. Also it’s recommended to get advice from a competent electrician who will comprehensively answer all your questions.
- Lighting. Make sure each room has sufficient task lighting. Consider installing additional lighting equipment and (halogen, fluorescent, incandescent) lamps if necessary. Use software to plan the installation process.
- Closets. Consider if there’re any closets that can be better equipped in your office space. Make sure each employee can plug in necessary equipment (desk lamp, phone, fax, computer, copier machine, etc.).
- Furniture. Choose (ergonomic, business style, high-tech style, etc.) furniture according to current office design. It’s recommended to hire a professional designer who will advise you on the best concepts and help you make a better layout.
- Noise. Is there a noise problem in your office? If so, consider installing special noise protection covering on windows, floor and walls. You can get competent advice from companies specializing in solutions.
- Other Requirements and Options. Consider if there’s a need to hide your office space. Do you need special protection systems to keep your office’s rooms safe and secure? Answer these questions and also think about incorporating a bed or sofa into the office space.
- Workplace Design Standards.
- Compact vs. Extended. Think about your needs and expectations regarding the space of your workplace. Perhaps, you prefer to work at a compact space. Or you’re a maximalist so an extended workplace space is your key requirement. Consider your expectations and then plan for the best workplace space.
- Computer. Do you need a computer? Most likely you do, but what computer or laptop do you need? If you’re a developer or web designer, then you’ll need a faster computer. If you’re a director, then a business style laptop is required for your work. If you use PC just for typing and printing documents, then perhaps a slower computer will be enough for your work. Consider these questions and then make a cost-effective choice.
- Network. Do you need to access the corporate network? Do you collaborate with other employees over the network? Do you use Internet and shared services in your work? Answer these questions and consider the need for installing and administering the network.
- Work Style. Consider if your workplace lets you keep to your work style. It means that you may need to change your work habits or change the workplace. Request your office planner for more tips.
- Supplies. What sort of supplies do you use? Is your workplace equipped with the needed supplies? Can you say that your desk lets you keep your supplies handy? Consider answering these questions and then make a list of your supplies.
- Peripherals. Where do you want computer peripherals, shelving, and file storage to be placed? What are ways for minimizing excessive or uncomfortable movements during your workday? Considering answering these questions and use software to find the best plans for your peripherals.
- Lighting. Is the office lighting sufficient for comfortable work?...
